The Things

This project has been so ongoing that it's cemented into my psyche as a base record of other events. The super psychedelic DIY mind melt project. It seems there's a resistance though, even still, to 'home made' art.

I was asked to do a live painting and was tempted to say yes. A live painting utilizing the things could prove to be a wonderful experiment. Interactive art can be a gamble based on audience vs. participant.

My first attempt at making seed arrangement jars.Each one comes with a picture guide and handwritten instructions on planting and what seed is what. Come spring the jar can be emptied and planted. Then, fill the jar back up with one's own harvest of flower seeds. A gift that keeps giving!

This is the type of gift my friends/family get along with various tasty sundries and drinks.



The back garden symbolizes the end of one life phase and a movement towards another at this point. I always get bummed when the winter blows in and it all dies;however,like anyone who grows a garden(s) knows, it's also thrilling to be back at a blank 'canvas'.

Craftroom,moved part of the drying racks inside amongst my many other projects.

Jar O' Plenty:There's enough seeds in there to cover a small field and enough that the ratio of viable/non-viable will be just fine until this coming spring.

Well I've been busy trying to cull the pics from the wayback machines archives of subvertise. Some real gems there. Too bad it had to go down.

Another Observation

Fireworks have much greater effect at 4 in the morning than they do at 7 at night. There's just something special about setting off a 2000 roll of firecrackers to kick off the holiday just right. Eggs and Bacon anybody? Waffles? I'll wave a flag. Y'know, with my new cowboy hat and all I take things literally, like in the dawns early light. 'round here that means lets blow some shig up. .. and in honor of the holiday ... another regurgitation from my archives .....



That's just sumthin else huh? Well all I can say is if you don't like firecrackers on the 4th of july your'e just UN-AMERICAN! Downright unpatriotic, you are if you can't wake up to the sound of freedom and democracy, liberty even. Shock and awe right next door. HELL YEAH BUDDY.
