Set in Germany during World War II, "The Rose of Treason" is a theatrical performance based on the true story of two college students at the University of Munich who created a resistance group known as the White Rose. After writing and distributing leaflets denouncing the Nazi regime, a majority of its members were arrested and sentenced to death. Fast forward more than 60 years, and the organization is still alive and well and continuing its fight to spread awareness of diversity and tolerance. There is even a White Rose Society at the University of Texas. -- Jennifer Nalewicki

Having seen a few performances from one of the players in the past I'm sure that the entire cast creates a powerful presentation. The subject matter of the play is sure to put some juice in the ol' thinking cap. I wish I could go to the play but cannot. The proverbial capitalist dominatrix has been whipping me lately and I have no change to travel. The show is free with voluntary donations so the only payback the players get for working so diligently is that of full seats and a packed house. Well worth an evening out on the town.
