Ringling Brothers Abuses Animals

This has been an ongoing issue with circuses that use animals to perform since as long as there have been circuses. I urge anyone who comes across this to visit the link and see how those animals are treated just so a few idiot humans can get their jollies.

My personal take is I agree with many, should one of these trainers ever cross my path I don't believe that I'd take the nobler higher road. Nope, it's ass kicking time.

Ferris, TX Horrendous New Animal Control Policy

CITY OF FERRIS ENACTS DRASTIC AND UNNECESSARY RULES FOR ANIMAL SHELTER

New Rules Will Lead to Increase in Unneeded Euthanasia
Animal Control Officer Opposes New Rules; Faces Termination

FERRIS, TX (July 8, 2009)- A major blow to the animal community was felt across Texas today when the city of Ferris created new and unnecessary rules regarding their animal shelter. These new rules, not supported by the city’s one animal control officer, will lead to the euthanasia of many dogs and cats without reason.

The city of Ferris has given their animal control officer 15 days to find new homes for the current dogs and cats living at the shelter. Once the shelter is empty, any new stray animals brought in will be held for six days before being euthanized regardless if space is available. Most D/FW shelters only begin euthanizing animals when the shelter is out of available space. The Ferris City Council would prefer that animals be killed and the shelter remain empty at all times. The city animal control officer was informed if the new rules were not enforced they would be terminated for insubordination.....

Despite claims by temporary City Manager Bill Pardue that the rules are needed because the animal control officer is taking in animals from other cities, there is extensive paperwork detailing where all=2 0animals in the shelter come from-all are from Ferris. In addition, the animal control officer fears she is being retaliated against for a June 5 letter she submitted to the Mayor and Council requesting bathroom facilities at the shelter, something not currently in place. A clear violation of employment standards, the Council balked at the idea of providing bathroom facilities for one of their employees and seemed to believe the animal control officer should continue to drive to the local EZ-Mart to use their restroom facilities.

Rescue groups across Dallas/Fort Worth have united to protest the City of Ferris ’ decision and bring attention to this clear violation against animals whose only infraction is wondering stray into the wrong city. One city council person was heard saying, “why would anyone want to adopt animals?” A clear sign that the city council is only acting on their own ignorance. According to many reports, 2008 was a record-setting year for animal adoptions across the country.

Animals remaining at the Ferris shelter in two weeks will be euthanized for no reason. Something animal rescuers vow to stop.

A Quick Note

As a resolute matter ... the subjects of zoology, botany, horticulture, and chemistry have become penciled in for goals in the new year for this individual.

I take it as strong medicine that we are facing on a global scale, the indications of our own extinction. Deny it or not, this pattern reverberates on the consciousness of daily life en mass. 'Our people', this diaspora of culture, color, continent ... is in trouble. Taken to simplest form, WE,human being male and female, are up shit creek. That is the common knowledge underlying our actions. "Don't need a phd to sling the street philosophy". Some of the animals enjoy a better perch but as geology and history prove, perches collapse. Like ideas, and that's the positive side.

The negative is the negative and it's common sense. The uncommon arises from recognition of the obvious but the initiative to change it. Action is indeed virtue.

I will not go into how this is actually reproduced as a philosophy of survival on the microscope level. Most thoughts are produced after the fact of physical intervention between the host body and the soul inhabiting it. The rest is left up to religion or pondering under a coconut tree.

I do my part, you do yours. That's the science behind the madness.

We've done a pretty good job of breaking that down, actually. We are in fact, pretty f'n smart. Despite the maniacal ramblings, the tomes of absolute, the plan man, the restriction, constriction, and suffocation, of our collective and wonderful knowledge .... we've shown a terrible tenacity to the truth. Look it up.

So, this interest in a focus of sciences is beneficial to my overall life goal. It should behoove me to pursue specialties and concentrate my efforts towards obtainable, perches. Perches allow a vertical perspective. All cats can have perches and all cats are smart. If the perch drops, the scene doesn't change, just the situation. Still, a cat.

Life is a maze, a message is a matrix. Resolution number uno, learn more, reallllly, learn more.

The way outta the trap, is the spring.

How to Make Fire From Water

Lately I've become interested in all sorts of outdoorsy, grow your own, live with the earth type ideas. Personally I believe it would behoove peoples of all shapes and sizes to get with it. The majority of us human beings are being hung out to dry and if we do not step up to the plate on our own, no one is going to for us. Rather, the ones we have left at the helm are sinking the ship. Can't trust em' as far as you can throw a piece of cellophane and the good peoples interests are not at heart. Time to bone up on being real.

Fire and Meditation

A call from Don Alejandro Oxlaj, Grand Elder of the Maya,
for Global Meditation on May 22 (5 Ahau, Ajpu)

Don Alejandro is charged as the primary keeper of the teachings, visions and prophecies of the Mayan people. He is head of the National Mayan Council of Elders of Guatemala, Day Keeper of the Mayan Calendar, a 13th generation Quiche Mayan High Priest and a Grand Elder of the Continental Council of Elders and Spiritual Guides of the Americas. He is also an international lecturer on Mayan Culture.

Quote:
Don Alejandro gives us this timely message: a call to action, a call to come together and be as one. Don Alejandro will be performing a Sacred Maya FIRE Ceremony in Guatemala, and be joining the thousands of others around the planet during the Break through Celebration.

“Brothers and Sisters of all colors, holding hands around the planet on May 22nd 2007, let us reflect on this, let us meditate in our own way, in our own language, according to our own culture or religion, because we have only one Sun to shine upon us equally, one air that we breath and gives us life, one water that we drink and becomes blood in our veins and all live on Mother Earth. She feeds us, she holds us. Brothers and Sisters of all colors, together united in meditation to make conscience to the men in power, governors, politicians, business people: no more war, no more contaminating bombs, no more death. Together we can make a difference.”

In the name of the Heart of the Heavens and the Heart of the Earth, greetings to you. In the name of the Maya National Council of Elders, Spiritual Guides of Guatemala, we address the following to you for your great magnetic connections at the global level:

The Spirit of the Maya Nation and the Spirit of Mother Earth make us look for ties of friendship with all peoples of the world. The Maya Prophecy tells us “…We will meet for we are one like the fingers of the hand”. We all are children of the Earth, we are flowers of the garden of our Creator coming in different colors, in different shapes, in different sizes, with different aromas; speaking different languages, and each one worshiping and meditating in their own way to the same Creator who has different names according to their own culture.

We hope this communiqué reaches all institutions, in private sectors as well as governmental ones; landowners, scientists, and all people in general. Brothers and sisters, there has been over 500 years of extermination in the face of the earth, extermination of humans, extermination of our brother animals and ancient trees, every day at a faster speed. The elders from the National Council of Elders and Spiritual Guides of Guatemala are keepers of mystical and millenary knowledge. Like the birds, tirelessly in their flight, they live to see the prophecies fulfilled. We want to make all people and governments in the world conscientious, and have them analyze and reflect at the situation of the planet in the present time. Let us start by remembering that the Americas were a paradise 500 years ago. Virgin forests, cities of beautiful animals, cities to an innumerable variety of colorful birds, flying in freedom; they provided food for everyone. The waters were abundant and pure; and the people, they lived in their own traditions, guarding their cultures and conserving the beauty of Mother Earth. Our ancestors lived to be over 100 years old, free from contagion and illnesses. They were respectful and obedient to the laws of our Creator.

Let us talk now about our present times. We enjoy new advances in technology, inventions that make everyday life easier for us, we all use them, but the negative side is that we are finishing up our forests, and contributing to the contamination of the planet, the rivers are drying out, the waters are being contaminated. Our crops are affected by plagues as well as plagues killing our animals. We are threatened by contagious illnesses, incurable illnesses unknown in the past. Very harmful are the use of chemicals, the insecticides, transgenic seeds, etc. And most of all, these days, the nuclear testing: nuclear bombs and a great deal of war weapons, and the war in itself sterilizing or killing the planet Earth and affecting all living beings. Many people are homeless, children begging in the streets, others are involved in prostitution. Predators are on the rise. Dead people appearing daily in the streets, kidnappings, extortion, shootings in the schools, parents killing children, children killing children, parents raping their own kids. All this is a direct result of the contamination. There is no respect; no respect for life. The authorities sell themselves. The justice can be bought or sold.

Now lets speak about the future. We, the traditional Mayan elders, and all indigenous peoples in the world, meditate on the future. We don’t think only for today, the present, we think for tomorrow, for our children, grand children and future generations. We see a dark shadow approaching, a shadow that will cause a lot of harm. It is the great contamination. All this is due to man’s creation. We are digging our own graves. Wars are being transported to other countries; they reason in their speeches it is on behalf of freedom, but the result is more slavery. They speak that it will bring new development, but the result is more hunger for the underdeveloped countries. If we continue like this, the time will come when there are no more soldiers to form battalions. The Maya National Council of Elders of Guatemala ask all nations of the world – their governors and the governed ones – to put a stop to the contamination; and to the big and small enterprises, to find alternatives. We don’t want any more wars, no more death, no more nuclear testing, no more chemicals, because the warming up of the planet is unbearable to Mother Earth. If we don’t change, sooner or later, she will strike back with millions of lives lost.

Our Creator created us here over the face of the earth to worship him, to love and respect each other. We all are equal, we are flowers of the earth, in different sizes, of different colors, with different songs, with different smell, but all looking at our Creator, honoring him with different dances, different music, different ceremonies. We all plead to him, we are his children, he is the creator of all that exist, all that we see and all which is beyond our senses. He has given us our life with an intelligence to do well. Brothers and Sisters of all colors, holding hands around the planet on May 22nd 2007, let us reflect on this, let us meditate in our own way, in our own language, according to our own culture or religion, because we have only one Sun to shine upon us equally, one air that we breath and gives us life, one water that we drink and becomes blood in our veins and all live on Mother Earth. She feeds us, she holds us. Brothers and Sisters of all colors, together united in meditation to make conscience to the men in power, governors, politicians, business people: no more war, no more contaminating bombs, no more death. Together we can make a difference.

May 22nd 2007 is 5 Ajpu, the Day of Grand Father Sun, he shines upon all of us equally, he doesn’t know discrimination, he doesn’t get lost on his path, he doesn’t get ahead or behind of himself. He gives us warmth, he gives us life. One Sun, one Air, one Water, One Mother Earth. May 22nd 2007 day of Grand Father Sun, Grand Mother Moon.

The Maya Prophecy says: “Arise, all arise, not one nor two groups be left behind, together we will see once again the place from where we have come from”

Bush Crimes Commission to Release Verdict on September 13
Call for a National "Bush Crimes Day" September 19

The Commission of Inquiry on Crimes Against Humanity Committed by the Bush Administration will release its final verdict on Wednesday, September 13, 2006.

The final verdict will address the five indictments dealing with the Bush administration's wars of aggression, illegal detention and torture, destruction of the global environment through global warming, imposition of abstinence-only on AIDS prevention programs in the Third World, and the abandonment of New Orleans before, during and after Hurricane Katrina.

On September 13, the verdict will be formally served on the White House and the Department of Justice, read over the radio across the country, and released in printed form for national distribution.

Following the release of the verdict, the Commission is calling a national "Bush Crimes Day" on Tuesday, September 19. Inspired by the verdict of the Bush Crimes Commission, campuses and communities across the country will organize public events, from teach-ins to street-theatre, that draw attention to acts of the Bush administration that, by their scope and nature, shock the conscience of humankind -- and bring to the fore our moral and political responsibility to bring these horrific crimes to a halt!

* * *

The release of the verdict fulfils a primary responsibility of this tribunal to deliver findings of fact and a verdict on the central question before the commission: "whether George W. Bush and his administration have committed crimes against humanity." The final verdict and the national Bush Crimes Day continue the Commission's mission "to frame and fuel a discussion that is urgently needed in the United States: Is the administration of George W. Bush guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity?"

The Bush administration's war crimes and crimes against humanity are now mounting on an even wider scale -- with new, even more monstrous, crimes looming. Despite almost universal condemnation, the Bush regime promoted Israel's invasion of Lebanon, the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan continue to wreak havoc on these countries, shocking crimes by U.S. soldiers against civilians continue to come to light, and torture continues in both public and secret locations around the world. The administration is attempting to grant itself immunity -- by rewriting US law -- to commit flagrant violations of Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions. The administration is aggressively beating the drums of war on Iran, which would bring catastrophic consequences to the Middle East and humanity.

At this moment in history, society desperately needs to hear the testimony of Scott Ritter at the Commission on the complete lies of the Bush administration in making the case for war in Iraq, the testimony of Brigadier General Janis Karpinski establishing the chain of command from the torture chambers of Abu Ghraib to the highest offices of the land, and eye-witness testimony from journalists in the killing fields of Iraq to the survivors from the flooded Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans. This is what we aim to bring people in the next few weeks as we expand and intensify the discussion on Bush's war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Society also desperately needs the moral clarity of Craig Murray, the former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, who declared at the commission hearings, "I would personally rather die than have anyone tortured to save my life."

The need for this tribunal arose from the real and horrendous crimes being committed, and the historical, moral and political responsibility of people of conscience to sit in judgment of this administration: to inquire and assess whether this administration has committed crimes that do in fact rise to the level of crimes against humanity, and to act in a meaningful and commensurate manner, on that knowledge of reality, to bring these crimes to a halt.

As the 2002 Not In Our Name Statement of Conscience (www.nion.us), the sponsoring organization of the Bush Commission, stated: “We believe that people of conscience must take responsibility for what their own governments do -- we must first of all oppose the injustice that is done in our own name.”

Join us at the White House on September 13; join us across the nation on September 19!

Free Energy for you and me

DUBLIN (AFP) - An Irish company has thrown down the gauntlet to the worldwide scientific community to test a technology it has developed that it claims produces free energy.

The company, Steorn, says its discovery is based on the interaction of magnetic fields and allows the production of clean, free and constant energy -- a concept that challenges one of the basic rules of physics.

It claims the technology can be used to supply energy for virtually all devices, from mobile phones to cars.
